Does anyone have an EMV to hand?
I'd be much appreciative of knowing what the series resistance and inductance of the two coils is.
Also, does anyone (Anjo again maybe?) know why the green book of Wiring Diagrams (p76) shows a diode across gear up side? From the diagrams, it looks like a back EMF diode for the gear up coil is next to the coil, yet for the gear down coil is next to the tachometric relay section (as opposed to kick down section) of the Vacuum Control Unit (which we always incorrectly? call Tachometric Relay)
Ta all

the coils are around 33Ω
the diode is to protect the end transistor in the tachometric relay from induction
