T-piece Connector for Cooling(/Heating?) system

Hello,

Recently, I had a leaky hose in the cooling system (I think) and unfortunately, while the mechanic was trying to fix that a plastic t-piece connecting three hoses crumbled. One of the hoses goes to the cylinder head, the other to the expansion tank and the third I think goes to the heater. I've included a gallery of pictures to try and make this a bit clearer (http://imgur.com/a/MpGnf)

Having had a look round on the suggested websites from the links page, the closest I found was the t-piece on here: http://www.born-built-beauties.eu/html/ ... ml#Coolant hoses B14 (86-91) . However, this is for a B14, but I know my car is a 1.7, so would that correspond to B172 or am I thinking about this wrong? I had a look on the VIN plate and registration certificate but couldn't clear up my confusion.

Any help appreciated :D !

I had this happen to me many years ago. I think I can find a replacement T again.

The B14 T is for the breather not water system.

I think the 1.7 uses a similar t-piece, its a breather and may upset the carb if its missing/loose. You may need the right one to get the angles right. There are no plastic connectors in the cooling system other than the expansion tank.

I take it you did not look at his photos. The breather connection is fine (the angles are different to the 1.4)

The connection that has broken is the water T connection Volvo part no 3344095, like I said I have an upgraded version as I had this very same problem on my old 1.7
Older 1.7's had 2 T's of a different size

Thanks for the responses and information about the B14 T, even if that isn't what I need - it's good to know for the future.

I might be wrong, but I think one of the hoses attached to the T-piece does go to the expansion tank.

So if older 1.7's had two different pieces, does the fact mine is one of the last ones made make it an easier job to search for one?
Also, it'd be amazing if you could get your hands on one again!
