Hi,
I have a 85' 1.4 saloon with manual transmission. But i want a B18FT engine swap.
Now the problem: in our country it's impossible to find 1.7 340 or this car part's (Hungary).
BUT I can buy cheap a diesel 340 car (~110-120GBP). This drivetrain is similar to the B172 petrol model, right?
Can i use the D16 bellhousing, engine brackets, etc or just the 1.7 parts are good for me?

The drivetrains are pretty much the same. The bodyshell is different (same as 360).
Best thing to do is to sit down with a copy of the parts book (go to
http://www.born-built-beauties.eu/ to download) or a find a copy of VIDA and compare the part numbers.
If you do buy a cheap D16, let me know

I'm fairly certain the d16 would be a good base car and would give you some advantages over starting with a normal 340

Thank you. I compared the part numbers. Looking at very similar, but have different numbers.
Anyone know what is the small or large difference between them?
