360 injection pump prefilter

This is the filter by the fuel tank outlet. Anyone got a source for this, I've been through everything I can find online and its all too big (long) or too small unions. 12mm unions and a high flow rate are required.
Cheapest is a 200mm long unit from AFS, but no way will it fit. Next best is powermax billet type thing at £30, but still too big. I did try a Sytec unit but it had only 5mm holes inside and would have been too big anyway. There is a cheap AL unit from China but the could not answer any technical questions, probably too big anyway.
If I could get a right angle union I might be able to make the Powermax to fit.
There are some LPG filter that look good but hard to know if the are compatible with petrol and if the flow rate is high enough.

I got mine from the Volvo dealer, because I could not find a replacement online. And even they had trouble finding a original one. Did not cost much though, under a tenner if I remember right. So you might try a call to a Volvo dealer

Yeah I found an old post about it, was still available in 2010. Didn't have the pn in work today, will try them tomorrow.

Can't believe it was 2008 when I started this thread:

I last ordered that filter from Volvo in 2010 (3202711). If they don't have it, it looks like it is still available from Skandix:

Skandix looks like a goer, 4 pieces available, strange it didn't come up in searches. I tried the Belfast dealer today, just got blank stares, as much as you can over the phone.
Still I've progressed with a billet type using a right angle, will need supported so probably more work than necessary. I'll get all that done and the filter will be too restrictive or something, but its changable.

I can ask Dave in Dublin if you want?
(Dave doesn't do blank stares and has a 460, always helpful

I see if I can get this powermax to work first, waiting for a right angle adaptor.

I'm still using the powermax filter but not entirely happy with it. So I really want something closer to original.
The original is available from Skandix at EUR50 + 20, but its against my religion to pay that.
Anyone any other suggestions?
After searching for 1/2" strainer, found this one:

looks suitable but expensive for a standard item. Have asked for dimensions.

When my fuel pump died on my 1st 360 I pinched my brothers spare pump for his 1980's Audi 90 Quattro they are the same length etc so maybe the filter is similar.

Had a quick look for Audi stuff but only the big pressure one came up. There isn't alot of space on the 360, the original is <110mm and the pipes bent at min radius, most of the standard parts are over 125mm and I don't think will fit.
Anyway found the above part cheaper;
https://www.inlinefilters.co.uk/Filters ... FBW-BF7693
And on ebay for GBP15 delivered. Sounds suitable anyway.
Also looking at my original, still useable but a big pile of well stuck in dirt in it.

Thats the pressure filter, its too big and probably too restrictive for the pre-pump application.

So I got the Baldwin BF7693 and its a fairly good fit. It doesn't have the offset of the original so gets a bit closer to the tank, but I think I didn't use a long enough bit of pipe to the tank, so position is a bit critical. In the end I used a stuck foam pad to cushion it against the tank.

Apologies for dredging up old posts but this is very useful info.
How has the Baldwin filter performed ? Have you changed it again since posting this ?
Think I need to replace the pre-filter on mine which is still an original but is showing debris laying in it.
It would be handy to have a filter you can see inside like the old one but beggars can't be choosers....
Stupid question, I assume unless the hoses are nipped off the whole contents of the tank will dump out when changing ?
Its probably worth draining down fully and replacing the hoses while going to the efforts.
Cheers Dave
