Hi all , can someone please confirm the order the leads go onto the dizzy cap please.

After changing my flywheel pulse sensor i now have a spark .

But the car is coughing black smoke and poping gunshot sounds when turning over.

The order i currently have while looking at the car from the passenger side is

Cylinder 1 from the flywheel onto bottom left of dizzy
". 2 onto top left of dizzy
". 3 onto bottom right
". 4 onto top right

Depends on which of 3 engines you have whether number 1 is nearest the radiator or the windscreen.

What have you removed, just the leads or the whole distributor?

Hello, in that view lower right of dizzy cap goes to cylinder No 4 (i.e. the longest lead). Lower left goes to No. 3. Ta bog.
