The expertly written guide on renix units which is at the following link:

viewtopic.php?f=39&t=9046

has its pictures blurred and watermarked by the image host (Photobucket).

If you look on the web, there is a hack that allow's you to get the original, unadulterated pictures.

For this thread, I have put them in my photobucket account (which is still active):

from where you can download your own copies. Well, I was just being lazy, here they are:

I might try to get them in the right order one day ;-0

Actually, I was being a bit dense because you can just right-click on each blurred/watermarked picture and select "Open in New Tab" or "View Image", depending on your browser, and the original picture comes up fine. Duh, sorry!!

Yo!

Remember bird-flu? It made you sick as a parrot!

Bit of an update. If you use Chrome, you can install an extension that lets you see the un-blurred/watermarked images automatically. Its:

Sadly, the Firefox version of this extensions seems to have vanished, but there is an alternative (Photobucket Embed Fix):

I have tested it and can confirm that it deffo works!!

However, I am a bit of an Opera fan, and after many tries, I could not get the Opera version of the Photobucket Hotlink Fix extension to work. A bit of digging revealed that the Chrome version of this extension (which works) was updated last year, but the Opera one was not (last update 3 years ago). Bah Humbug.

But.... Opera uses Chromium so you can install Chrome extensions into Opera by first installing an extension that allows you to install Chrome extensions in Opera!!! Here is the relevant extension:

Installing this first and then following the instructions shown in the above picture, I was able to install the 2019 Chrome version of the Photobucket Hotlink Fix extension in Opera and it works!!! How terribly interesting, Jon! Anyhow, I can now look at the forum pages without seeing the blurred and branded images we have had to put up with for some time!!!

I think that has most of the commonly-used browsers sewn-up but I still don't know if there's an equivalent for MS Explorer, or whatever their browser is called nowadays.

What I don't understand is that on the mobile some browsers show the water-marked images and some do not and it varies from day to day!!

Brilliant tip....I use Firefox and the suggested fix works a treat, less than 10 seconds to install, job done !
