There's this most annoying thing about my Volvo...
When idle at high speed (up from 80km/h) the engine shakes the whole car. It's a -88 340GL with 1,7l engine.
Is there something that I could do to stop the shaking?

probably wheel balencing. if this is out on a car it means the wheels are unevenly weighted - it normally shows because the steering wheel shakes at ciratain speeds (depends on the car). is this what is happening for you?
you can try and test for yourself by jacking the car up wheel by wheel, and spinning the wheel - see if it seems to rotate at an uneven speed when its slowing down. The best way to get it fixed is to take it to a tyre shop who can sort that kind of thing out easily

Well, that's another problem I have...
Somewhere at 120km/h the steering wheel starts to shake.
But this thing that I have with the engine...
Let say that I'm driving 110km/h and switch gear to neutral.
When the engine runs on idle speed the car shakes clearly from side to another. If I give it some gas, shaking stops.

Engines mounting rubber parts may be worn, also driveshafts rubber parts can be worn because first, that can eventually lead to braking of driveshaft from what I have heard.

does it happen when you just put the clutch in? if not it may be a warped drive shaft, or perhaps the engine idle speed is a little low..

A bit random, but wheel bearings could be the problem! Do you hear a higher pitched noise at certain speeds? This has happened with two of my cars, one of which's bearings had collapsed! Still did a couple of hundred miles on the though, lol! Once replaced smooth and quite as a charm! Until the rear ones went that is!
Cheers

Hmm...
What about this:
Everytime I release the clutch I hear a wierd sound from the driveshaft.
The driveshaft seems to be a bit loose. Should I do something about it?

probably the rubber decaying. its a long job to replace it though, you'll need the biggest 6mm allen key ever.

Well... should I get it fixed?
Ok. Here are all the concerning issues I have found in my Volvo that I bought three weeks ago:
1. worn driveshaft rubber decaying?
2. If I push the clutch all the way down I hear a gurling sound
3. the shaking
4. wheel balancing
5. I have to change gears very slowly so I wouldn't hear any heart breaking noise.
6. It lets the water come in when raining heavily
Should I fix some of theese things or should I just drive and wait until something breaks up?

up to you really. i'm surprised about the gearbox - does that happen when changing up? mine accepts shifts as fast as i can fire them, although if i'm dropping into a low gear i sometimes double-d-clutch to make it happier..
rain leak is probably the sunroof if its got one. driveshaft is a easy job if you can raise the car well. gurgling noise i've no idea about.. perhaps the clutch cable needs adjusting??
