I have very small problem. Engine coughs few times before starts accelerating if I floor accelerator quickly, but with very small amount of choke it does not do that, but it starts to boo then because not getting enough air.
It does that coughing effect around 1000-4500rpm area. Other than that it runs ok.
Also mixture has been recently adjusted, but it does not helped. Also that part that squirts fuel when pushing accelerator has been changed. (Sorry I don't know lot of automotive english, yet)
Air leaks has been repaired also air filter replaced, spark plugs are new and fuel filter as well
Engine is B200K and carb is Solex.

Yep always the same check: the carb!!
2 years ago, I had problems with the kickdown (foot on the floor), I had the feeling that the engine would stop. The carb was unscrewed...

All screws are tight, also no air leaks except from that axle, but it should be very little and should cause no effect in higher rpms.
When I floor it rapidly, as on track, it feels like engine starts accelerating, but immediately would shutdown for split second and then starts going again.
I have came to think that it is not getting enough fuel so carb is dry after I floor it and it takes little time to fuel come again?
Sorry, it is rather difficult to explane.
But then again, I'm not very familiar with carbs at all

it could be that - it would be a case of the fuel float for the carb is faulty, or maybe the fuel pump. couldnt tell you how to determine the fault thou

Today I realised that also if I have floored and decrease throttle to 50% it coughs also same way, but it does it 2-3 times but when I do floor it does only one cough.
But at winter no such problem, even no choke on.
I just wish to get enough money for Genboard conversion

Mixture has been adjusted and after that it has been checked. Co2 was 0.8 so it is actually bit too lean, but that is idle. I think that only idle mixture is possible to adjust and it has almost no effect when 50% or more throttle, but I'm not very sure about how it works.
I know that it is possible to alter mixture by changing parts inside of carb, if one can find those parts.
Maybe carb has weared so that mixture is little too fat in higher rpm/throttle, that would be possible. But if thing is so it will be quite difficult for me to check it out, maybe also not worth of money. Better save it for future plans

Just a thought; have you changed your condensor? We had all kinds of coughing and splitting and after the third condensor change it was all better.

Oh yes, I have not even touched that. It is bolted into bottom of intake manifold, right?
I remember that it is not cheap from Volvo, if I remember correctly prise was insane, 130 euros or something like that?

I wish, but closest one that has 300-serie parts is few hundred kilometers trip.
Then it is possible to buy via mail, but I'm not very comfortable to buy used equipment from some company without touching it first

Some bad experiences with this 'fair' finnish companies, grrrr.

Do you have a pic from part, I may go to look from closest enough big scrapyard if there would be any of those cars. But it is 180km trip in total. Those that are closer have only toyotas and other papercars...
Yes, it is true, forest and lakes, neighbour towns have often 40km between them and we are talking towns that have 10 000 people or less. Bigger citys are far more distance between them.
Of course it depends from area, but I'm middle of nowhere
That christmas video is taken about 10km from my home, it is one of biggest roads in near of my town
But ppl from Australia knows it, innerland has desert and more desert, coast has all main cities. But in Australia distances are just insane
