Post by Stuntman » 03 Feb 2006 10:33 pm

Hello all, just a brief question, I seperated the gearbox from it's housing to paint and clean it, but didnt have a gasket, I used one of the good brands of instant gasket gel things, has anyone used this before and are they ok? last thing i want is a leaky gearbox!!!!!

If you had asked I have the gaskets

What sealant did you use. We dont have to use the term "sticky back plastic" here.

The gasket betwixt bellhousing and gearbox is the same one for all M45/M46/M47 versions with all engines.

IIRC it costs about £7 from you friendle local Volvo dealer.
