What power and how?

What power should a 360 injection 2.0 make from factory and is there any cheap way to improve this or at least get it back?

It depends on the year, but somewhere between 108 and 118. In my experience, you won't be down much (if anything) on power.

You can add power by working on the exhaust and intake, but you really need programmable fuel injection to make use of it. Once you've gone to that trouble, you may as well turbocharge it (using parts from a 7/940). Then once you've gone to that trouble, you might as well fit a 2.3 lump from a 7/940, since it has all the turbo fitting alread in place...and so it goes on ;)

Injection 360s are a bit of a pain, as the stock fuel system won't respond well (i.e. at all!) to modifications. You could just slap in a 2.3 carb engine if you were starting with a carb 360, but injection ones pretty much require you to get busy with the wiring.

Take a look at Ali's thread for pics. It's easy in that you can get almost all the parts from a scrap yard, and the engine bay is fairly spacious. It's hard in that you've got to work out boost pipe plumbing, downpipe (a pig, especially if you have PAS), and fiddly bits like oil lines...as well as wiring in a different EFI system.

Not trivial, but very much do-able. It depends on where you're at spannering wise.
