What's the best cam for a twin weber conversion ?

Hi guys,
Explicit topic.
My engine is a B200E, and I don't know what cam is fitted from the factory ( E-cam? ). Obviously I'll ditch all the EFI management. The engine will be mildly tuned.
- Twin 40 DCOE webers
- Maybe a cam ( if there is one better than mine from another volvo )
- 4-2-1 headers
I have not plans for porting or upgrading valves in the head. For the ignition I trust in the stock renix 411
For what I'm reading, maybe a K-cam can be good. I want strong mid-revs and some consistency at high range ( power until 6500 - 6800 if it's possible )
What power may give in that setup ?
I know everything about tuning a VW, but this is my first volvo... I want to listen your opinions !!
Thanks all !!!
Regards.

The K cam would be the cam of choice but the V cam is not far behind with the advantage of being more common.

The original is an A cam, which is already fairly hot for a road cam. The K cam is probably the hottest cam that Volvo made for OHC redblocks, and the V cam is pretty close.

Actually H cam should be spicier than K cam.

So, to help the man, what did they come out of

Would stock ignition mapping not be way out on a hotter cam guys?

Look for a cam from a 240 GLT or most 740 2.3 GLE I think should have a fairly good cam in them.
Stock ignition map is not going to be ideal. In our old 360 we used the dizzy and ignition module off a 240 GLT.

Cheers mate ! The junkyards are plenty of 2.3 GLE around here. What cam is that ? A k-cam ?
Viewing the renix table I think it can make the work. I'll scan the chart for your opinions

No, the K cam came out of certain NA 240s from the late 1970s, or possibly the very early 80s, they're rarer than hen's teeth. Quite right on the H cam, forgot about that, they're slightly hotter than K cam, but about 10 times rarer. V cam are more common.
There should be posts on here by Foggy detailing chapter and verse on what cars these cams came out of. Rest assured, you'll be lucky to find them here or for that matter in most of Europe. Most people get them from Canada or the States.

Then there's also the GrpA cam, but those are even more rare.

Thanks guys !!
I've read about H-cams, K-cams and others, and reach the same conclusions, but, what you think is the best for my application ? Not the more aggressive is the best IMO ( at least in my case with stock ignition, etc )
There is technical data about the cams in some place ? Lift, duration, etc...
Thanks again !!!!

There's a page which has info about the Volvo made cams.

I'm pretty sure there was also R-cam for redblocks, that was intended for rally use and of course being rather rare as it was option not many took.
With stock ignition perhaps best bet would be to get adjustable cam gear so one could play with it a little, better range of choices for power or torque.

Reading the page that fuse linked I see that a K-cam would work, but I've some doubts.
The K-cam has 11,95mm of lift in front a 10,5mm for the A-cam. Would have valve interference and hit the piston for that extra lift ?
Differences are only 4,6ยบ at intake and exhaust sides, I think the ignition can manage that, what do you think ?
Thanks again !
