Hi everyone, thought i would start this thread as it may come in useful for some people when servicing/adjusting the carb.
Could everyone please post how many turns out the mixture screw is from seated, which engine, and how it runs.
Mine is 3 turns out from seated with idle at 800
1.7
runs well when warm but slightly lumpy idle when cold

No idea on number of turns, I normally run the mixture so it sounds best by ear, then back the idle down to 850/900, then do the mixture again. Then back it off 1/2 a turn leaner.

i tried doing that chris, its ended up running really nice but the mixture screw is a full 6 turns out, which seems a heck of alot since it stated start by 1 1/2 to 2 turns in the green book. thats just why i was wonderin what other people are like.
cheers

I don't know if this is any help, but with my B200K I run almost out of thread from mixture screw after putting K-cam in, it would need re-jetting for that cam I believe.
Now reason why it suddenly needs to be so much out could be air leak or dirt in fuel filters/fuel line, those are firsts to come my mind.
