It`s a type of automatic gearbox. The main difference between it and a regular autobox is that it doesn`t have set gear ratios - it doesn`t move up in steps and the ratio constantly varies (hence variomatic) to suit conditions. Has a clutch too and doesn`t waste a load of HP on a torque convertor. Very much more home DIY friendly too.
A bit odd to drive at first as the engine goes straight into its max torque band on acceleration and stays there until the car catches up or you ease up on the gas.
Will go backwards as fast as forwards!
People either love it or hate it.
I love mine !

OK, now I'm confused......
How on earth did a 360 end up with a rubber band drive????

I think he has 360, but not variomatic.
About Xenon lights, if you would like to get them road legal, then it is really difficult if not even impossible.
If road legal is not important it is hard to get lights that will fit and even more difficult to get ones that looks ok.
As far as I know, there is no xenon kits available for 360 so you need to build and engineer them pretty much by yourself.
But at the end, anything is possible, all wheel drive also it is just how much work and skills are needed
