right i have a 1985 b19e glt and i am wanting to make it a tad faster and a bit more rev happy
i have slowly started gathering some bits
i have collected a pair of dellorto dhla 40s
and have purchased a k cam which im still waiting to be delivered

now for the questions;
1. i have heard people saying that some engines have 9mm rods and some have 13mm rods is this true?
if so what size are the ones in my engine?
and what engines have the bigger stronger ones?

2. will my standard injection fuel pump be upto the job of the feeding the 40s?

3. where cam i find an adjustable cam pulley?

4. are the 740/940 clutces compatable with my car?
if not what are my options for a stronger one or one that will take more clutch kick abuse?

5. is there any uprated plug leads or any form of ignition upgrades i can get?

6. if i upgrade to 45s will i need a hotter cam?
if so where would i get one of them?

hope that wasnt too annoying :D :D :D

cheers

1) they'll be fine for your purposes.

2)yes.You'll need a regulator to knock the pressure down.

3)Ford BDA/BDG can be made to fit.That's what's on our B19.

4)Dunno.Fit paddle clutch and forget.

5)any decent ones will suffice.

6)wouldn't go a miss.KG Trimning may help.

1. You have b19 so you dont have 9mm/13mm rods. Those were used in b2x0. You have m-rods which are as strong or stonger than 13mm rods.

For uprated clutches check these topics.

If you have any questions after those feel free to ask!

Adjustable cam gears are available as redblock parts also.

KGTrimning, Catcams, Crane, Tommisbillet, IPDUSA and Nukeperformance has those.

Catcams and Crane are probably ones available in most countries.. Nukeperformance is a Swedish company and I don't know if they make 8V adjustable gears or only 16V.. Tommisbillet is a Finnish company and they do make 8V adjustable cam gears for redblocks. KGTrimning is a Swedish company with loads of Volvo performance parts for sale. IPDUSA is a Volvo oriented performance parts company in the USA.

KG Trimning. http://www.kgtrimning.com/ Page 4 at their catalog "Justerbara kamdrev"

Freetechnics is a Finnish distributor for Tommisbillet parts, I do believe they ship abroad too. http://www.freetechnics.fi/
