Here are the main details, followed by a "but"...
1985 B-reg Mk2 DL, 3-door, just over 50,000 miles, two owners plus ex dealer demo, fantastic brilliant spotless red paintwork, rust free above and underneath, sensational original interior. MoT November 2011, tax May 2011. Towbar and electrics, newish drivebelts, clutch and tyres, all under 500 miles of use, sporty Volvo wheels with 175x13 tyres, recent new throttle cable. Still has original dealer sticker in back window and original number plates, handbook etc. Three original keys.
It's a lovely drive when it's going. Here comes the "but".
It has got a timing/engine/tuning problem. It starts and drives off OK, but after a short distance, engine just loses power and cuts out. Then hard to start again.
For various reasons as well as this, I can't keep spending money and time on the car, so it really does need to go to someone who knows what they are doing mechanically and will hopefully enjoy and look after what is now a very rare thing indeed.
