I take it this has gone by now?

If not i could probably find a home for it in my 240.

Mag, what you want to look out for is the B23 which I think only existed in some 760s. Basically this engine will "fit" but you need firewall modification to allow space for the dizzy which goes into BIVA territory. Either that or you'll need to do a dizzy conversion. B23 already has a side mounted dizzy like the renault b14 engines

Can the layshaft from a late 240 with upright dizzy be used to convert a late redblock? Thought that was what Foggy used to bark on about at least, but my redblock Chi is weak.

The intermediate shaft from a 240 (any 240...)...or...even better...the original 360 engine ( ;) )...can be swapped in. If running on LH, you want to use a rigid dizzy from a later 240 or...a 360 with Renix ;)

The B23ET is a nice engine (fully forged), but specific to 1984 (so rare as hell) and likely to be tired by now anyway. A late FK/FT like this is the best best, honestly. The only slight downer is that it has the wrong flywheel. On the plus side, it has oil squirters. I'd use a later one like this and buy a flywheel, personally. It's a storming deal at that price.

cheers

Ideally just an engine that works, mine has got some annoying Gremlins in the system so thought it would just be easier to ditch the lot and start again. I think you can get shortened Dizzy's and a "crab" cap to avoid the bulkhead cutting now.
