Valance repair panel (rear?)

Post by MJ » 10 Jun 2007 03:10 pm

For those of you who don't keep an eye on the bay, there's a valance repair panel up at the moment for £1 (£10 postage). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0128994975

It's stated as being for the front, but I'm fairly certain it's a rear one, as can be seen on Adams car

Err that's a rather old shot from before you were here. After replacing the panel, taking great care for his car, he re-installed the bumper. Yeah it looks nice, but you wouldn't want to risk damaging it with no bumper would you, especially on such a nice car :)

Good stuff MJ, well spotted, it is indeed a rear panel, as the holes are where the bumper mounts fit through to bolt it onto the chassis.

Foggy and myself have discussed the bumperless look when one of my shells had the bumper removed. With a slim bumper or something added it would look pretty different.

Yes, a thin bumper would look nice, a bit like this.

I can see a resemblance with Adams car there. ;)

Unfortunately you'd risk a lot more damage to yourself and the car if you ever had an accident, and on the rear, it would probably be someone else fault, not yours :(

EDIT: Just noticed, that looks like a Renault 5 sneaked in the back, I knew there was a 340 link in that image :P
