Free to good home.

Post by volvosneverdie » 23 Dec 2008 09:23 pm

Ok, so i got drunk and opened all my xmas presents.
Dont look at me like that.
Its traditional.

Amongst the socks, hardcore and aftershave, there was also three (yes thats right, three) Haynes manuals. Do you think various members of my family are trying to tell me something?

So anyway, if anyone hasnt already got one (and Im guessing that most of you already have), feel free to PM me and I'l send you out a nice Haynes manual.
340 and 360 - 1976 to 1991 (up to J registration)

first come, first haynes manuals.

:D

Keep more than one... workshop manual and a shiney house manual that you don't get oily and can still read this time next year ;)

Also, don't forget that there are 2 types.
'89(G) 340 GLE B172k
'03 S60 D5 SE, '91 (J) MX5, 1954 Cyclemaster
Ex:
'89(F) 340 GL F7R (ex B172k) - Fake -> SBKV 300 Runner Up 08, 12; '91(H) 340 GL B14.4E - Kar; '88(F) 360 GLT B200E - Jet -> BKV 300 Runner Up 09; '89(G) 360 GLT B200E - Beast

Chris, I havnt got a workshop.
ive got the street.
And the house.

I get what youre saying though man.
Could get in lots of trouble taking an oily manual to bed for a pre-sleep peruse. Chicks really just do not take kindly to manuals in the bedroom. Apart from tht scary one in her bottom draw like.

ok then,
edit: if anyone would like one haynes manual, i'd be glad to pass it out.

Hold on one cotton-pickin minute here......

2 TYPES of haynes manual?

Talking about xmas pressies, i've still got to buy some yet! I'm in favour of the manic last-minute mad-dash approach - that way, its both a surprise for you you and a surprise for them!

Yes, see the thread http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... php?t=6512 :P

But in short: there's the Owners Workshop Manual, and then there's the slightly dumbed down Service and Repair Manual which is missing stuff like gearbox internals. The rest should be OK even though all pictures seem to have been made smaller.

Not to mention that the O.W.M. apparently comes with brown or green covers depending on age. And the seriously old editions of the O.W.M. are missing some information related to newer revisions of the car, so they may not be a good catch for a late mk3 owner...

Personally I would've kept all three.
One to keep neat and tidy.
One for oily fingerprints.
And one to throw around the street/house/workshop-delete where applicable-due to the bit you're trying to fix looking nowt like anything picture or descriptionwise you'll find in the so called manual

Need something a bit more substantial to get satisfaction from rage throwing man.

Something like a wheel, or washing machine normally works.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
HULK AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNGGGRYYYYYYYYYYY!

Thunk.

Thats the sound a wheel makes if you throw it sidearem so it lands flat.
