Swaps for a Mk3 Polo GT ?
Re: 1.8 16V f7p Powered 340
This may be up for sale again shortly, just testing the water to see if anyones interested.
so the original engine failed on me within a month or so of buying this car, however i managed to source a 64k f7p to go in. I've got reciepts for everything I've bought from the engine, to the cambelt, to the gaskets to every other bit in between. It's also going to be rocking some of Nev's (driftmoto) heavy duty engine mounts. It's all going to be fully documented on my site that you can see in my sig below. As you can see the previous owner spared no expense in putting this car together, and it drove like a dream.
This isnt your average chuck a f7p in, put gearbox oil in the shocks gig. It was all done by a proper enthusiast and perfectionist (linkay) and I'm carrying that trend on now I'm commited to the engine swap and i plan to make the engine wring loom even neater so the engine bay will look properly tidy, and it will all be working perfectly.
Why am I considering this if its so awesome? Well I've lost a lot of heart, and I want to get in to my own business, and i cant really do that if this is going to be costing me so much all the time. I have storage arrangements if i don't sell it.
please note keywords "testing the water" and no, I'm not going to break it for parts, we need to keep as many of these Volvo's on the road as we can! how much would i want if im selling it? £2400 ono. This new engine has cost me just shy of £700 and I paid £1800 cash for the car intially. At this point in time I've spent near to or just over £2600 all in

hey, thanks for your interest, depends what the part ex is. As I said I'm not to sure on selling it yet.
I don't want to come across as rude, but this is a seriously well built car, that i know inside out. if your thinking of offering something modified I'd like to see as much documentation as possible.
If you want, you can email me on chris_hibberd@btopenworld.com or add me up on facebook via my site.
if you do contact me, just quickly post here so I can check for you, my email inbox is out of control sometimes lol
