I'd be interested in vario bits and pieces too, but damn the distance... even worse than to Tom ;) I'm having trouble locating a working replacement 4-way valve at the moment - but I guess I'll go on trying to get one locally.

Go for it nomead! There's nothing wrong with my vaccuum valve thingy, and it's quite small so just as easy to post to Finland I guess ...

John, maybe you can let me know how easily you manage to get the "foam aberration" off the back lid. I've been trying to remove the one on my GLT (to replace it with another) and the previous owner seems to have stuck it down with superglue. Maybe heat?

With my GLT I just took all the nuts off, then stood on the bootlid and went at it like an olympic weightlifter, proper red in the face. Nearly fell off the back when it finally let go! Not looking forward to removing this one. I think a heat gun and some 'glue+tar remover' (or petrol) should help a lot though, just don't heat the petrol to its flashpoint!

Hm, that sounds familiar. Well, maybe I'd better have another go at it and be less gentle ;-)

The factory sealant is pretty strong, mine had started coming away at the forward edges though. Probably because of all the high speed commutes LOL.
