My tyres are indeed cheap - Toyo Proxes are a good buy for the money...

You're quite right about the price difference 195/50 vs 185/55. How odd! Loads of cars have 185/55s, and the 195/50s are lower profile (traditionally more expensive)!

There's a set of Volvo 400 alloys in a scrapyard just up the road from me in Botley, Southampton. They've got them on display in the main entrance (its a massive, professional scrapyard). I cant remember the style or the price (not much help i know!) but if you wanted to give them a call i'd be happy to get them for you today and chuck em in the boot. Its called Silverlake. http://www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk
Those are 400's in the window??? I'll drop by there tommorow!!!!! Never been in there though. Where abouts are you then Carl? I'm literally just up the road from there, not far from Safeways

Got the 360 back yesterday, running well and it drives really nicely! It really does go when you want it to, and sounds pretty good.

Just gota sort out the exhaust and rear bumper really, anyone know of a black colour coded rear bumper - unlikely! I know a silver 360 in a scrapyard, so I might just get a silver one and get it sprayed.

Think I'll treat the car to that set of 14" Anteres alloys I found. Haven't driven it in the rain yet, so I dunno how twitchy them tyres are yet!

Hope you got back ok Carl, I thought the transfer went pretty smoothly!

Hi Steve, Believe it or not I have a black colour coded rear bumper from a D reg 1986 Hatchback if you're interested! Are you going to the meet up at Gaydon? If so I could bring it along. Your car sounds great, it would be good to see it there! Pete

Pete.. that is great!! I assume the '86 black is the same as the '88 black :) It certainly looks the same from what I've seen. I will be going to the meet at Gaydon, how much would you want for it? Your 360 looks nice, I quite like the look of them in red - quite rare now!

The car is pretty good, few dents n scratches but overall looks quite good. I'm certainly impressed with the 360 Model :D

the car is the same, but the colour might be different. also, changing a rear bumper is VERY VERY HARD, trust me.

Steve,
How much do you think is fair? It's a difficult one to price, but it won't be much, I'd like to try and help fellow 300 owners out! I'll have to get it taken off asap, as I've tried removing my own to replace a bracket, and the bolts are nasty, the thread appears to have gone on mine! As 5lab says, it's not easy, but I'll have a go at removing it! I'll get you a pic if you like and I'll check it in daylight tomorrow, as I remember it being clean and tidy!

I think the red or black cars look good. Have another red 360 funnily enough!

Well, once I've tried to remove it and can show you how good it is, we'll sort something out, or I can bring it along to Gaydon and you can see for yourself!

Hmm well the mount one one side looks bust (bumper is wobbly) and the otherside is held in with a screw. It would be worth the trouble changing it, and even a small difference in colour will be better than it is now.

What makes changing the bumper so tricky? I didnt think it would be too bad.

I have no idea about putting a price on it! But I am definitely interested, thats the main thing letting the looks of the car down.

How many 360s have you got??!

Far too many! The one the black bumper is on is a write off my Dad bought for spares when my parents ran 360's. It stood up amazingly well to a heavy side impact from what I can see. I've also got 360 GLT saloon, which is also for spares. Then I've another original red 360 GLT Hatchback, my own original which I'm running and my Dad has a 360 GLT Limited Edition Saloon (I believe it is a 60th Anniversary Edition) which has stood due to a rear wheel bearing going and they bought another car! So those are just the 300's we have, let alone the other cars! Anyway, I'll try and get that bumper off when I can!

Cheers Pete!

I'm amazed to find a black colour coded rear bumper, didn't think I'd find one so easily anyway. You're lucky to have room to store all your 360s!

No problem Steve! It's pretty incredible, any other bits you may need from the black car let me know, as I am actually stripping as much as I can so the shell can be scrapped, to make some space! I'm keeping as much as I can for spares to run my own, but I'll have plenty of duplicates should you need anything. I am lucky to have the room the store them! They stretch all around the house! I can see two from my room, however my Mum isn't too happy about our car collecting!

Hi 5lab, There's not a lot left to be honest, and there weren't many special toys, it is however a non-sunroof model of the 360 GLT! That was a wise decision by the original owner as we all know the problems that the sunroof can give! The only thing I can really think of, nothing special but I've not seen it on any of my others is the recirculation button on the heater panel, no air con though! Have a think about what you may need and I'll let you know if I have a spare one available! Pete
