hi all,
as you may or may not know i am a metal fabricator by trade,
the company i work for have started producing roll cages, and i am currently producing a cage for my 340 3 door.

my previous car was a 360 gl and had a weld in cage although we are now making bolt in cages for ease of removal.

we are currently persuing interest, with a view to making these available to the public. so if anyone is interested then the first one will be finished by the end of the week.

these will be subject to a £100 deposit. and will be looking at around £400 for a rear only cage with diagonal, or £450 with cross bar. curently producing 4 point rears, although 6 points can be made on request.

these come complete with all fittings and fastners to correctly mount them into a 340 or 360 3 door.

pictures to follow at the end of the week when the first one rolls off the production line (and into my car :D)

could anyone who is interested please pm me or drop me a message on 07969971234
thanks guys

Hopefully not too much of a bombshell but did you realise that Safety Devices do bolt in cages (listed as a 343) for £250 (ish) +VAT for rear only or £600 for a full cage. Would your cages be to full MSA blue book material and dimension spec?

I've worked for a company that fabricated rollcages (fully weld in shell prepped ones, into five figures for an unpainted shell type jobs!) and know that doing rollcages on an individual/low volume basis costs an absolute fortune in both labour and materials.

Best of luck

Alex

as i stated above this is only a guide price, if we can, and we are trying. that price will be dropped. at the moment we are only gauging interest, and testing what the market is like. by the end of the week we will have a rough idea of turn around time and costing.

i was not aware of safety devices doing a bolt in cage and any search has proved unsucsessfull.
the price quoted above is including fitting and would obviously be cheaper if the item were to be posted out.

not realy a bombshell but i was expecting the "somebody does them cheaper" line sooner or later. but thank you for your input.
and likewise anybody with any other positive or constructive input please feel free to post, all feedback is appreiciated.

That's a damn good price fully fitted! You might also want to consider offering a cage with just main hoop and two backstays (no diagonals) to MSA spec as that is what is used for endurance rallying, the Safety Devices cage is only MSA homologated as a complete 6 point cage.

Amazon Cars, can get roll cages for the Volvo 343, made by Safety devices!

They start at £295. :)

Adding a harness bar takes it to £340. :|

Then you have to add carrage on a pallet: £400 :(

Then you have to add vat (soon to be 20% due to some bunch off ******) :x

So, madseb, looks like you've got a deal. :D

Hey guys.
Sorry for the late reply.
Cages had to take a bit of a back seat, while we got on with some other work.
Currently mocking one up for my car at weekends ect. With a view to selling it when completed.
I'll keep you all updated.
Cheers for the interest
