That's nice indeed. Impossible to tell properly from a photo but looks in really good condition. Only the second Mk1 I've seen for sale in the UK in the last 18 months (and I snapped up the first one!). Looks much much better than mine anyway! Cool wheels too!

There's two on the the Volvo enthusiast club website I think this might be one of them tho, the others a 343.
If this is the same 345 as the one on there it has extra gauges in the centre

Hi Lads.
That motor looks in even better nick than mine. Cheap classic too.
I hope it ends up with one of us.
Cheers Mark. sm4

That's the one (green 345 X). That gold one on there was sold ages ago, advert needs taking off. I rang them about it nearly two years ago!

Yes extra guage panel! Those photo's on that site show a lot better the condition its in. Rust bubbles here and there, especially on the offside front wheel arch. The paintwork looks a little uneven and rust stained in places. I'm not sure what they mean by recently restored? To me that means a great deal of work besides just getting it M.O.T.ed. (although that probably took enough work!) Can't see that it's been restored other than making it mechanically sound.

Having said that though, it's 30 years old and if it's mechanically sound without 'serious' rust then it's good enough for me at £650 (£600 with a little haggling :P ) and with full tax and test as suggested in the enthusiast club site!

If someone off here doesn't buy this it will be a crime.
Don't let the traders get it  and bung it up on ebay
If I hadn't already got one this would be mine by now! Even with it's 2 too many doors
Foggy get that 345 you have off to it's new owner to make way for this one

Having looked at the other pics the paint does look a little suspect in some areas, and there looks like signs of bubbling on the front drivers wing - but to be fair it's old, there's barely any of them around and seems alright value considering 12mths MOT/Tax

Funnily enough, I spotted this on a totally random trip to the VEC site yesterday, and Rupert phoned me about it on Autotrader earlier.

I think you're forgetting my 345, Andy...bought last June. That bronze car was sold in either 2005 or 2006...to a guy from my hometown. That's the one which ended up being customised...

...he'll have fun if he needs to change a headlight! sm56

We should at least make contact and suggest they mention to the buyer that they join the site.

No way I'm buying this. It's lovely, but I prefer the -80 models (stubby bumpers), and one 1981 car is enough! Plus it's got too many doors for me ;) Funny how it's *another* manual. I have three mk1 manuals, and I can only think of

cheers

Don't like that, could be such a nice car with the bumpers and proper front put back on

Nice find Steve! Might as well link up the pics from the VEC here:

That's the first time I've seen that gauge panel with the original white-needle gauges fitted - they do look good. I guess the one on the left is a rev counter?

How picky can you get to try and not buy another 300 you tart! Buy this, then when a better 3dr comes up (somewhen when pigs fly, I wash my car etc etc etc) you can swap it.

You'll have saved up at least another car's worth in the meantime.
