Vacuum/Econ & Ambient Temp Gauge Kit

Well I've acquired another set. I'm aware that I owe various people econ gauges - namely Pete F (or did you find one in the end Pete?), Mick and Hugh (probably in that order), but if no-one claims it, it'll be sold as a kit at the BKV/National next weekend.
Assuming the econ gauge sells on its own, the ambient temp gauge will be for sale on its own for £20....slightly reduced there on the basis that I don't automatically owe the buyer my next econometer. I know that might seem a bit stingey, but it's a bit of a pain both for me (having odd gauges on the shelf) and a buyer wanting a 'set'.
I'll be asking £25 for econ gauge, including the bumpf needed to fit it...but first let me test it!
cheers
James

Wow...

25 for an econ gauge... 20 for an amb temp...
I think I have quite some cash laying around in my shed...

I originally sold them for £50 incl shipping for the pair. I dropped that to £20 for the 'odd' ones. It's kinda good money, I agree, but then petrol isn't cheap, and I probably have to visit the yard 15 times per set I find...and you guys know I'm not exactly spending the money on drink, drugs and loose women!! I guess I've also brought around 10 sets onto the scene...think of the joy and happiness I've been spreading
The bad news is that I can't test my new one, as I've broken my car! The front cam seal totally ate itself after I put it in back to front (it's a subtle mistake! Pics to follow in a new thread), so my engine is now in pieces going nowhere without a new seal. Should be back on the road on Wednesday. Worst case scenario: I'll bring it to the BKV and we'll test it there. Are you going Mick?
cheers
James

Indeed... rare items usualy go for good money. I was not saying you asked to much...
I'll start searching for the gauges here...
They go for les money here so I will be able to send them to the UK if peeps are interested.
Soon I'll be running my own snowcap and gauges shop here...

james you can test it yourself.. look in a mirror and suck on the back - with a couple of sucks you should be able to get the needle round to about half-way

I'll be at the BKV if you want to test it James... and 15 times a set.... bloody tight ass southerners not forking out for gauges... seen none in scrappies here, and I go at least once a fortnight
