Good home wanted for a 340 1.4 1988

Just seeing if there's any interest in a 1988 340 1.4 GL silver-grey 4-door hatchback, located in the South-West London area... in fact its the car in my logo and you can see some pictures of it being partly restored on the 'year 8' page of my blog! It has just been MOT'd and will soon be taxed for 6 months. Only 218k genuine miles. Bad points are a slight hissing noise when its running (sounds like manifold or exhaust leak, but I can't find it and the car runs very well), quite bad rust around the rear wheel arches and the usual heavy volvo 340 steering. Good points are 'new' bonnet and front wing (well, rust free second hand ones), new steering rack, new front valance panel and sills repaired, nice interior and sunroof!! Apart from a few small dings and rust spots, the paintwork is fine.

Man, with a lot of help from someone on this forum, I've just got a dark blue 1991 1.7 so I need to find a home for the silver 1.4 which I'm having to keep on the street - not ideal for a car of such magnificent provenance. Just renewed the tax for 6 months and with one year MOT it could be yours for £150 ono. I'll put some piccies on here asa....

Sorry sir, I think I have caused some confusion.
I am deffo keeping the one and only Blue Bess, my beloved 360 GLE which I have looked after since 2004.
Its my silver-grey 1.4 that needs a new home so I can look after a new blue one which arrived yesterday c/o Dai's dad.
The plan is that the new blue one will be restored while I use the old blue 360 as main transport. The silver 1.4 hasn't done many miles in recent years and I've been trying to pass it onto friends, rellies, work colleagues, etc, for about 3 years, without any success so far! I did some restoration on it last year (year 8 of the blog) so its looking better and could be a good project for anyone who is (h)interested! I'd rather it went to someone on this forum, than fleabay it to a banger racer!!!!

Glad to see you got the car from Hull! My truck situation still not much better, although back on the road in a Q reg wich would have not satisfied the London emmision zone anyway!

To CBA: All sounds good. Are you semi-local??
To: Hell Driver: yes, it all came together last week. Its a pretty good one actually.... lot better state than my 360 was when I got it in the dark days of 2004.

OK, great, sorted. It should be OK for long runs - I did about 1000 miles in it over xmas and it was fine.
