it always looks like this fellas written their message in their own language and than used some sort of online translator (babelfish etc ) to translate into english

you should never generalise people from the same race ,country etc ,there are good and bad ones .
there is even a rumour that there are clever americans

I heard this story before. I happened to someone from V3C. Someone from africa wanted to buy his car (360) for a lot of money. They had to exchange banking details to make the payment. The idea was he was trying to get money from his bank account by internet. I don't remember exactly, but don't trust it anyway!

Just think, there must be some genuine Nigerian out there that just can't buy goods, because everybody thinks he's a scammer.

Nigeria leads the world in financial scams. Most of them are a lot more sophisticated than this one too! A lot of those attempts to con eBay traders actually worked in the early days. I guess it's a numbers game. Contact 10000 buyers and they might still get a couple of suckers.

There's plenty of very sound Nigerians about too. I knew quite a few in London, including my boss

Now that sounds as rare as hens' teeth! Or, as a great Canadian friend put it: We (Canadians) take it for granted that all Americans are morons until proven different!

The Canadians just LOVE their neighbours :)
