For Sale, Complete Unused never fitted Fuel Trip Computer for the 300 Series.

Comes Complete with Instructions and the instructions say it can be fitted to both 1.4 and 2.0 Carb Engines.

more from an interest point of view (i'd want one, but they're just too fecking ugly - unless you think it would fit where oil temp should go??) what feeds does it take in?

pretty sure it'll sell on here - you got any other bits floating around?

As for the feeds it uses.

There is a turbine type sensor which you plumb into the fuel line to the carb and this measures fuel flow.

And it has another sensor which mounts above one of the rear driveshafts and that counts revoloutions of the road wheel.

Thats it, pretty simple device.

Surely it wouldnt if it uses a turbine in the fuel line to measure fuel consumption becuase the GLT is injection and has a higher pressure fuel pump, so it wouldnt be calibrated properly. Although i could be talking out of my arse

well you see, all it has to do is mesure the fuel flowing thru the pipe - the pressure is irrelevant because a liquid is the same size regardless of pressure

But fuel is used differently in an injection system. The high pressure pump at the rear supplies the fuel rail which acts as a 'mini-tank' for the injectors, but unused fuel is also returned back to the main tank. So in fact, if i'm working all this out correctly the same amount of fuel will always be flowing if you put the turbine before the injector rail.
