What will it require for the MOT? No tax?

Should pass MOT no problem. I think it may be tax exempt.(29 years old) The car is actually owned by my uncle I have suggested that it would be worth a lot more if he'd put the test on it, but he still refused to do so

It is a genuine car which he has owned for the past 13 years any test or inspection is welcomed.

HOT STUFF. How close to Bramall Lane are you Bladesman? I was at a mate's house nearby at the weekend and would definitely popped round for a look. Not that I could have seen the car, the state I was in.

Further to the previous posts and the one mentioned by the seller, I'm the guy who dropped out of buying the car, So you can all thank me for this car coming back up for sale.
My Partner just gave me her nearly new SUV, so reluctantly I turned down the Volvo. I love old cars and I really wish I wasn't so under the thumb:)
I feel bad for not having the car, so I'll be honest and help you guys make up your mind easier. I'd have had the Volvo in a heartbeat. I went to see it, and the engine bay is sweet. The whole car has been undersealed and waxed, and is in great condition overall. The front grille needs a bit of attention. nothing a prime and topcoat wouldn't sort for someone who has a passing interest in cars. It ticks over very well, even with the choke off. The top cooling hose wasn't warm so the thermostat hadn't kicked open yet, and it still ran smooth with the choke all the way in, and wasn't blowing or hunting at low revs. Compression seemed fine too, and the interior is brilliant. This is where you can really tell the car has been nowhere. The back seats have never ever been sat in, as far as i can tell, and it goes to show mileage is genuine.
Brakes seem good, Gearbox is light for the set-up they have, and basically it's like an 11000-mile car would be. All the fluids are clear, and it's well worth looking at. PM me if you have any questions, but my opinion as an amateur mechanic is it would fly through a test. I honestly can't see what it'd fail on.
Anyway, I just thought I'd add my thoughts. If you're within driving distance, go see it. Now I'm going shopping in my boring Giant Japanese Diesel.
