Long time since I last posted but this might interest you...
The car is based in outer NW London, Eastcote. Near the M25 and a tube station. We have too many cars in the household (6!) so this has to go. It must be collected before next week.
1989 F Reg Volvo 740 GLE 2.3L petrol Auto, blue with electric windows, sunroof and leather seats. 128K Miles, MOT till late July and tax end of August. Tyres all good, brakes best I've used on any car, dampers on their way out but MOT pass standard.
The lacquer is going in several places so the car looks tatty, not noticed any rust. The inner roof liner has ripped and is sagging badly. It would need to be trimmed down and glued to bodge it properly.
Cam belt is overdue but it's a 'throw away' car for someone. It was last done at 86k and 11 years ago. The service interval is 4 years and 48k. We have a pile of nearly every MOT and some bills.
Engine runs fine. Returns 25-30mpg on the motorway. Fuel gauge can be temperamental.
Been in our family for nearly 8 years and it's been the most reliable car we've ever had. It'll be fine for a stop gap A-B car. It's worth alot in scrap steel!
I am posting this on behalf of my Dad. Price at £160 is non negotiable. All he wants is the scrap value and remaining road tax value.
