Where are all these low milage 360s coming from?! Expensive, but with a mileage of a 2yr old car...

indeed Steve, just where are all of these 360's, especially the low mileage ones coming from!? When I decided that I wanted a 360 GLT, could I find one? Not for ages, then a couple came up, a long way away though, then the one that I bought. The suddenly they keep appearing. I must say they do seem to be asking top money for them, but then again, if they are low mileage, they should still be in good condition providing rust hasn't taken hold anywhere.

There are still so many 300's on the roads, despite their age, the amount that must have been written off (even on this forum alone!) and the cars that have been scrapped. Which of the other cars of the era have survived quite so well and are still around in such numbers. I know we all either fear or have the rust problems that are known to occur with the 300's, but this is minor compared to some of the cars that were made at the same time, and have been scrapped a long time ago!

Let's compare like with like...there are still a lot of Mk2 Golfs and BMW E30s (360 rival) about. The 340 was marketted against the escort, but it was hardly a fair comparison...

I pulled up against a G reg Mk2 Golf yesterday... and laughed, rust around all of the doors. VW build quality isn't atall what its lived up to be. I know what I'd rather have...

Ah, but a friend of mine has a beautiful C plate Mk2...admittedly its had a certain amount of bodywork work done, but still...impressive.
