During the course of my working day yesterday (8 hours about) I saw SEVEN 300's..
* A 340 BLUE LINE! (

)
* Two DLs (one of them uncannily similar to mine, F reg, red, just a two door model, bah)
* Two 360s (one of them similar to the late Snowy)
* A 340 GL saloon (unfortunately very rusty and spoiled paintwork)
* Finally, an old 343! Red!
I was amazed. Let's hope more people see sense and fork out for one!

Seem to be a few more around here too - yesterday I followed an absolutely immaculate "E" 340 GL in blue down the road near my home - driven by an "older lady" (read about 90).
Today I parked up at the city to do my veg shopping in the market - on return there were 2 360 saloons and a 340 hatch parked within 20 yards.
I really should get some flyers printed up...

There seem to be a lot of 360's in the UK. In january 2003 there were only 4200 360's registered in holland. Imagine those numbers nowadays. I almost never see another 360. There's only one other in my town, but it looks crappy. 340's are more common. I never saw a 345 on the road, and there are 2 343's in my town as far as i know.

I think I put in another thread last week I saw a particularly nice G reg 340GLE in blue with leather interior was going to hang around for a chat but it was an oldcouple and I think I might have scared them if I started going on about forums and things (forum used to be a soft porn mag in the UK LOL)

I saw an E-reg DL at the side of a major road with a MASSIVE puddle of water under it on the way home.
(I think it was water, doubt it was petrol because it was under the engine block)

When the plug in front of the mesh filter in the carb (about an inch across - the Weber, natch) shook itself out going down the M4, we had a huge puddle of fuel under the engine compartment......
The family were out of that car in seconds!!

I see them all the time on my bus journey to and from my college (it's on the ourskirts of chatham). A different one nearly every day. In fact I saw a silver one today.
There is also a VERY rusty one at the college I go to. It's a D reg but my B looks in better nick.
There are loads of them. Actually my dad says that (a friend of his owned one once) in their day, they were nice cars. Not really deserving their sneered at reputation.
I mainly see 343's but one day when waiting for the bus to go home I saw two saloons.

Only seen one moving 300 recently up here in the frozen north but the other day when I came out of the supermarket what should be parked next to me but a white 340 DL with 32000 miles on the clock!! (I had a look)
Would have hung around to see who was driving it but it was too bloody cold and the car did have more rust than paintwork
Shame!

You're right, that really is a shame..especially with such a low mileage.

You do still see a lot around, I often see a couple if driving for 20 mins or so. When I was at Volvo a week or two back there were another 2. One parked in the waiting for service area, and another having something done to the front steering.
I guess that's where you don't want to see the 300's
I was in the viewing area when the one with the steering was brought back to ground, and when the mechanic reversed it the front wheels caught on the lift bar thing they're ment to roll over. He revved it and got a fair bit of wheel spin before the front wheels lifted over.
