I think they're called Backflashes chris, there's a lad on RR does them.
I was gonna go for Volvo originally too but then changed my mind and was gonna get Rust, then changed it again to 340. :D

Nice to see the old girl getting some TLC - the family have been following this thread with interest.

Not so sure about the graphics, but those leather seats are superb.

BTW I always left the car in N when parked up. Very often when left in P, the connection for the declutch servo would come off the bottom of the lever and would be a complete arse to get back on - unless you have really girly hands or know a mechanically minded 5 year old.

You`ll know this has happened when the gear selector buzzer stops working.

Will
You only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and
it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Thanks for the tip Will.
I park on a hill at home, so generally leave (any car) in gear.
Liams 360 rolled off the handbrake recently with no prior warning, causing a bit of damage so I taking that as a warning. :(
if I park on the flat, I'll use N though cheers.
John did some sterling work with the soldering iron before I purchased the car so fingers crossed all the connections down there are good for a few selector changes yet.

It's a lovely car Will and a credit to you really. It's smooth as anything and tight as a drum.
It'll be kept well and used often so it should be bothering the pages of v3m for years to come.
