It is scary how easy clio engines are to put in the 340's. It's like it's just meant to be. Don't know about the newest gen of clio though.

So the F4R uses the same mounting points as the F7R then? Just a different sump and stuff?

Saw this at Trax at Silverstone, when it wasn't as complete as this - I must admit I didn't twig at the time it was a 172/182 etc engine... I did have my suspicions as it looked pretty different to the older 16v's :) Great work.

Is there a build thread anywhere for this?

The older F7P/R's have a cam cover on them. Whereas the F4R has a cam cover with the cam caps built in. When you take the cam cover off it releases the cam shafts. Its not the nicest looking cam conver compared to the old F7P/R one, so we'll sort out making it look a little nicer at a later date, but for the moment the orange powder coat makes it look nice enough :)

There is a build thread currently being put together, I believe it will be going on the new website that will be up and running soon, along with the build of his AE86 Corolla We've got pictures of the sump conversion etc that you'll be able to see as well at some point.

Just commented in the other thread (which also makes my question about what an F4R is redundant!). Awesome!

cheers
