Sorry to inform you, but they ar not cowerds. It's a simple thing, wich i am not shure if the american and the english people understands it. well, as americans and brittish continue to fight a so called "antiterorism" war, the only thing they do is to strength the muslim's belive that they must retal by all means. And as you can see today, killing 10-15 insurgents in Iraq is by far not so effective as blowing the tube up! Cose what the terorists want is to weaken the support from the people for the wars. So, it's very simple: the create a big disconfort among the cittizens, so they'll force theyr own governemment to back of from this war and to live thm alone.

Emergency services have told CNN that there are "double digit" fatalities still underground at King's Cross.
A Government spokesman is talking of 20 people dead. "

On the contrary a lot of westerns do understand the situaition .
However I think you will find that all this will cause is a total mistrust of all muslims in the uk and very possibly reprisal attacks on muslim communities and shops ,
not that I condone or support either of these actions having a lot of close personal friends who are of the muslim faith , but people, who are now rightfully scared for their lives , will seek to protect and revenge themselves by removing what they see as the threat (i.e. all muslims),
as usual only the innocent will suffer on both sides by these terrorist actions
