Morning all,
Wanted to introduce myself. I'm very new to volvo's, I'm normally a VW man but thought id give this a go.
Just bought my first 340.
35,000 miles
completely standard
0 rot or rust
Really excited to get my teeth into it.
If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it
Thanks
Dan

I'm not too sure where the garage is, it'll be in Kent somewhere as that's where the guy lives.
Those are the photos from his for sale ad, it's been too dark for me to get my own

That looks really nice

what plans do you have for it?
What VW's do you have?
I've got a 1985 mk2 golf CL converted to a 1998 ABF

Plans are a serious drop and a lovely set of wheels.
Any information on 5 link set ups and coilover conversions for the front? all i can find are the expensive coilovers from performance swede
Also, its a 4 speed box on the 1.4, is there a 5 speed i can drop in without ruining the ratios. Don't want it to be too sluggish
Thanks
Dan

Classic swede or Driftmoto for coilovers im afraid
if i remember correctly Classic swedes are cheaper than driftmoto
5 link is only available from driftmoto or custom make one
Not sure about ratios (but this would be more to do with the diff than gearbox) but to fit a 5 speed you also need the linkage as its different to a 4 speed

I do both a high end and buget option with the coilovers.
I will be doing a bolt in 5 link setup soon
Yu can bolt in a complete 5 speed gearbox to replace the 4 speed
