Impressed as ever, Frits - great work and very speedy! Have you done any modifications whilst putting it back together?

I'm trying to see how you made the mounts. Two bolts cast into a rubber? I'm clueless with that sort of thing, so a complete "This is how I made awesome mounts that don't break" (we'll give you a few weeks to test that ;)) would be awesome.

Not really no, just the special GTT pistons, the special GTT cam, the special GTT head. Everything with great care. Remember the engine blew becouse of a fail of the wastegate. Didn't had any troubles with the engine before. (and I am really killing it while am behind the steering wheel :P )

The enginemounts: Lets test me first :P

Its just a long thread through the block. Sizes as original rubber, and a 8.5mm hole in the middle, which I made m10 1.50 with thread (is that the word?) maker.

It's simple as it looks. I want to make the frontsuspension, rearsuspension and gearbox mounts too, if this satisfieds my drivestyle.

It's a "Tap" for internal threads and a "Dye" for extrenal threads

Dude, I'll definately let you test, you know the OEM ones are 2 threaded bits moulded into the rubber right, so that they flex?!

Nice work Frits, looks like you're having to work pretty hard to keep it sideways though. I've heard people say drifting is much easier in jap cars, but I've only done it in volvos and a totally stock s13 so I can't comment. I find my 340 extremely controllable when sideways, except for the open diff spoiling things.

Nice frits! Ever thought about unshrouding the valves in the chambers? looks like theres alot of extra flow to be had from the head....might have to raise compression though.

@ Cloud, don't really understand what you mean?

@ Jhon: I've driven a BWM, but when you are used to a different car (volvo for example) It isn't easy for the first run

However, I think my volvo handles well.

So, I've got a "new" 340 1700. 1988, and how funny, a red 3 door. Need to replace the front window and it needs a new MOT
