I'm guessing it's that 360 GLT that was for sale on here (I think)? Nice clean car.
I totally agree! It's happened by mistake, I will explain.

My first was the GLT that me and my dad got off one of his last 300 customers.
Which was free, was going to keep this but at the time couldn't get insurance.
So then I bought my blue mk2 for me to have as my first car.
Then my dads very last 300 customer had the mk2 360 and said it was over heating so he wanted a new car and he's had 300's for the last 15 years, so we offered him the GLT. He had the GLT and gave us his which never over heated when we got it.
Then I only got my mk3 340 because It was cheap and same colour as my mk2 so I was going to break it but when I got it it was just to clean, so I'm selling that one.
And then my newest one is the 360 GLT saloon with 17000 which was local so I don't think I could let it go and I quite fancyed a saloon!
But I'm going to be braking my mk2 360 as its just too rough and selling my mk3 so then ill just be down to the two, but don't even ask about my starting BMW collection :?

Best appreciated when open.
I probably should have specified ladies legs in there too. [+=] "embarrarrased emoticon"[].com

It's callled rationalisation of parts stock & storage. 5 cars the same - 1 lot of spares. 5 cars different - 5 lots of spares. Applies particularly to older vehicles where hoarding of everyday parts is necessary as man at motor factors say "no".

I get the theory behind it, just find it all a little boring and predictable tbh. Everyone could buy their cars by that thinking, but thankfully not everyone does!

Comfort zone - step out of it once in a while (imo).

Cars are boring, they're for shopping.

Bikes are for fun.

    Everyone has an opinion, and with 1400cc boat anchors and rubber band transmissions I can see how they could be.

I am not doubting bikes being fun btw, I think they're great.

Or I could say cars are fun and bikes are solely for commuting. Works both ways lol.

Bikes (Mountain type) and cars are fun :P I've just come back from a ride with a pretty cut up arm and swollen shin, but it was still fun! :D

Must admit I have one or two 300's  Have dabbled with others, have a 440 T, not a different marque I must admit. Did once have a Morris Marina for a very short time but not really by choice :P. Quite attached to the Ford Transit tipper now, due to needing one for work for the last 9 years. Wouldn't really want anything else for the job really, reliable, easy parts to find and as it's a 125 so reasonably quick for what it is (unlike the 1997 model I had before). Driftable RWD too, esp in the wet with no load on :P. I could quite easily get into Mk1 transits, and I like the old 70's 80's Bedfords too.

I was down to 1 x 300 at one point. I think the collecting thing arises from seeing another one you think is better and wanting to see what it's like, with maybe the intention of getting rid of the other one. An intention which somehow gets forgotten!

Given more space time and money I think we would all have a few different marques to play with, and a number of people on here I'm sure do have other as well.

Before I got the 360 I was looking for something completely different, maybe a small 70's British sports car, but somehow another 300 got in the way
