360 update

Post by tim-andre » 28 Mar 2012 01:05 am

nothing new has happened to the car yet, besides changing some bulbs to LED's (just for parking lights) and installed a hid/xenonkit to the already excisting lamps, and painting the rear directional lights red, looks sweet with complete red rear lights
have to change the bearing sometime soon on it though, makes some funny noices right now
and looking for some new wheels for it, kinda want some minilights, and to get it lowered about 2 inches
engine wise im just keeping it original right now, dont want to destroy anything on it  and milage is good, much better than the lastone who used 1,5-2l per 10 km
the car sounds good, drives good, and except for some minor faults its perfect

and if anyone needs some parts, i have some from the old 87 360

lost my rear exhaust muffler thingy, so just going to add a straight pipe from where it fell/was cut of
really looks like it was cut by the muffler, no rust, no bent parts, just cut

I really hate flexipipes, thats what failed on the exhaust
Changed that out with som bends and straigtpipe instead of putting the old back on, so kinda makes more sound now
Nothing especially new on it now, besides led bulbs in the cabin of the car, soon in the trunk too
Also, i need to stiffen it up a bit, leans to much in the corners, and understeers a bit to much for my likings
So lowering it 1-2 inches will be done and buy some adjustable dampers and poly bushes of dai when i get the money for it
Also need to weld some quite nasty rust holes by the damper tower and some other places, good news is that the mot man was half blind and didnt see any faults on my car, so i dont need to mot it again for 2 years :D

Nice one!

My bumper is back on now so feel free to do it, not that i'd have complained anyway :) Maybe some lights that fit to the sides of the rear lights to illuminate the number plate?

Hi tim.
A set of mk3 lights will fit streight on your car.
The number plate lights are in the light cluster
so you could do away with the bumper ones if you want.
Cheers Mark.

Today i met a deer (doing 80 km/h), did not end well for either the deer or the car.. right light is smashed to bits, grille is gone, bumper is nackered, rad is a blob of metal and hair, fan is what i asume gone, cant find it anyways.. and the bonet is pushed back enough for it to find some nice crispy rust under the window..
And i dont like those bastards anymore..
Will upload some picks of the damage when its a bit brighter outside..

And the volvo will hopefully be up and running with some new parts in the end of the week, hopefully..

Btw, i hate mondays
