Stop posting pictures of this

I'd also be tempted to swap to this from the 1.7 too - the 1.7 3 door is probably more desirable for most too, so you might even end up better off with the swap. You'll also get added cool points for it being a Mk2
Am I right in thinking someones fitted an incorrect back box to it at some point? it looks like a Mk3 style with the inlet/outlet on the same side? Rather than the straight through style Mk2 360 backbox

Cool points deducted for being MY84 and lacking front door quarterlights.

Practical points added for having better visibility, easier to replace windows and internally adjustable mirrors.

Man has a point... however I do remember in the 343 it was nice to be able to have the front windows open at speed without getting totally blown about!

Early type door mirrors have nasty black spots - a quick look over your shoulder is essential before overtaking ...

Well they are fairly flat glass, but the ones of my DAF, one is flat and the other convex. Then again, I used to drive one car with just a interior rear view mirror, no door mirrors or wing mirrors. Nothing I wasn't able to do without turning my head.

Erm ... blind spots. The ex-pat years are beginning to show ...

You're right of course, but later V300 mirrors make that blind spot a good deal smaller ... From '87 (or so?) on the mirror glass was convex too, at least on the passenger side.

I was out in the BB yesterday, the passenger one is convex and the driver's one is flat.
Still not the bad compared to the worst of the worst I've experienced: Vauxhall Vectra (B). They weren't worth havin'. Crock o' shite so they were.

Anyone know what the colour scheme for that interior is officially called?
I love it!
