your wheels suit the car perfectly Jeroen , Why would you want to change them to GLT rims ?

I will probably sell them, including my own 4 mk2 rims after I refurbished them.

just got back from Leeds with the wheels 300 miles in five hours including one fuel stop and one "comfort " break . the wheels are great apart from one has been kerbed but my mate will refurb it for me . all four tyres are good , may paint the spokes before fitting or may see what they look like as they are, Pickys soon!!! p.s. the kids survived the trip (thank god for in car dvd players )

wheels are on and luck great , I will post picys later and then ask for your input as to whether I should paint the spokes or not , I may be on a bit of a high but I am sure the car handles better already.

What size were the alloys in the end, 14s? After you wanted 15s.... ;)

You may well be able to feel a difference, but that's probably more to do with how well the tyres suit the car than the change in profile. I didn't notice a huge change in handling when moving to 15s from the 13s (rim size is the least of the 300s concerns there!), but the step-up in quality of the tyres also dictated that I didn't experience a degradation in ride quality worthy of note.

Oh yeah...and....PICS! :)

cheers

I think you must be keeping your sticker man single handedly in business!!

I'm not sure how well the foglights work (in terms of the look!), but the spots look nice.

I'd paint the rims black, but it's an improvement already!

cheers

If I'm being totally honest there are some things I like, and some I don't.

If it were mine I'd remove all the wing stickers bar the 'volvo' one, paint the wheel centres black and paint the sills black too to match the front and rear valances.

However, it isn't my car, and if you're happy with it the that's all that matters.

Yes, I have to agree there...I think '340' and '1.7' there are a bridge too far for my taste (not that that's any particularly authoritative judgement!!), although I could probably live with leaving Redline there too. What happens if they try to sue you for using their logo Mick?!

It sits at a nice height for those rims.

cheers

Yeah, remove all the stickers + the snowcap + headlight wipers + heated seats and send it to Belgium sm56

Seriously, I have the same opinion: the "Volvo" sticker is really nice but the "340" "1.7" "Redline"... is a bit too much on that poor wing! sm61
