Five days to go, and my Vario comes out of hibernation. Can't wait! Hoping desperately it won't snow ...

Why? I've found that my vario is great fun in the snow... of course, the way they spread salt on the road, it does seem a bit silly because of the increased risk of corrosion.

That's the problem - not the snow at all, but the salt! Last winter, I drove over everything, thinking "no way will it pass the MOT anyway". But then I had a change of heart, sold my Merc, ploughed time and funds into the car, and now it'll have to be a "fair weather car".

I would get rid of that car.
Its nothing but trouble.
And the money saved could go toward sending Macplaxton jnr to engineering college.
