Monday I visited the local shop, where I don't usually visit too much as it is tiny with expensive pricing.

For some reason countryside folk had decided to visit shop at same time too, had no camera with me, but there was no single vehicle that would been fit between the white lines, some were parked almost 90 degrees sideways taking many squares, some bit less sideways taking two squares, some just so that white line was middle of car, there were more than 10 vehicles, which is bit of a record for that tiny local shop and all of them parked totally wrong.

There were some older people wasting time at front of shop door when I came, reversed to bit narrow spot and used only mirrors when reversing as I always do, old habit from days I drove bigger machines, for some reason all of them were staring, both cars on my side were parked wrong and that resulted tiny marginal for me, but as reversed there was plenty of space to open the door, however at rear of car there were about inch to two on both sides, not much of difficulty really as didn't need to turn when reversing, still received some staring, odd people.

Last week then I had to park at big parking lot where there was one big 4x4 parked right on top of white line and other side there was some japanese vehicle parked partly to my square, so I turned mirror against window and carefully manoeuvred car to square so that there was less than inch to that japanese car, had to put car bit sideways as that japanese car too was sideways. Got new dent to rear section of my french crap from that, too bad had no camera handy by then.

Often I find perfectly good parking spots where I can fit between white lines but someone made bad parking and they are in two squares, I think it is their problem not to be properly parked their vehicles and I do park between the lines, even that would result less than inch of gap to wrongly parked car, maybe I'm as much of an asshole than those that can't bother to park properly, but from my opinion they do deserve their challenges of getting into their vehicles.
