heres a few ore random photos. (still no pics of how the amp is mounted though :P )
decided to play with the grill one day after giving her a good clean.
this was debadged any suggestions what should go here in the middle? i want to put a prancing moose sticker there of the shield type but there arent any 75mm ones on ebay at the moment :( :
Image
then grille removed. didnt really like this, felt like there was too much space between where the grill was and the rad. check out that rot in the valance :(
Image
now a few pics of the audio stage of it again. those red wires are called "industrial cable" i used these temporarily to hear what my 6x9s were like all wired in
Image
they were then replaced with 1.5mm cable that came with my amp wiring kit!
Image
and for the headunit: sony xplod something or rather, with ipod dock which is handy as my (cheap £10 cheap 160gig) ipod's headphone jack was stuffed so no good for AUX
Image
i also fitted some decent phillips all weather bulbs that give off a yellow light :D

next jobs include:
painting the gray bits on the headlights black to get a better colour match to the grille. always wanted to do this but only recently got the paint to do it,
make a cradle for the ipod to sit on the blank plate next to the ash tray rather than just laying around next to the gearshift
and to get the auto glym polishing kit for free courtesy of my friend and really bring out whats left of the paint. starting to fade aroung the seals and edges now
and hopefully, if i pass my test on the 25th of june a mack with the lowering stick (finally)
thanks all!

Better for SQ too, there's a hell of an impedance mismatch going from headphone out to line in. I do it in my other car, but it is much better using the dedicated lineout on the dock connector.

Super work there, i had the same colour carpet in my Beetle, so good choice :D

I've got some JBL's to go in my front door cards, they are also a bit orange, but found the door check strap was hitting the magnets when the door was closed, how deep were the back of your speakers?

Keep up the good work, oh the wheels look good in black, just don't be tempted to go near the bonnet with it

Whats the matter with the car i'm driving can't you tell that it's out of style?

You need some genuine +10BKV point Volvo accessory speaker fitting brackets

Otherwise known as a bit of 18mm ply and an evenings mucking about

haha thanks for the replies, as far a listening to lil wayne is concerned, it was on shuffle alright and it was the dubstep remix of a milli , i was testing the sub woofer   .
the problem of suicidal pidgeons/pheasants put me off the no grill idea but it did look good with just the chrome trim i must admit.
the mounting depth of those speakers is 54mm it says, i had no problem fitting them there was another inch or 2 behind the magnet i think :D

and magnum, the bonnet is too good to matt black, WAY too good haha unless the car was pink and couldnt be buffed up i would go down the "satin" route sm1
