good spot! straight the way i was a fan of the price, however it is a long way to travel. By the time i have paid a friend to drive me im not really saving much. Plus its a long way to go to find out the dealer was a bit generous with his add and come away with nothing. I will be chuffed if i can find one for £300 or less though :D

And with the insurance, you are correct. It is a classic car policy as a second car with limited miles. As i wont be driving it very often i am extremely pleased :D

Yeah, second car policies you can run as a 'classic' policy.
Those hardcore few that run a 300 as a sole and daily driver dont have that option.
Certainly appealing though.....

And id have the same conderns about dealer descriptions as you.
If youre not local, youd be best off with something from V3M if you can.
most of us are honest, trustworthy sorts.

You must also remember i pay about £1000 a year for my main car so im not getting away with it too much!

I would much prefer to buy from an enthusiast on a forum. A bit more trust and everyone here seems very friendly and helpful sm4

True enough man.
Theres precious little 'proffit' made on this forum.
But a lot of people will go out of their way to do you a favour.

I'd wait for the pics on that ebay link, £300 is very cheap if the car is as good as described. Hop on a train and it wont cost too much ;)

Maybe you could even persuade a resident southern member to have a gander ;)

definitely worth considering. I would prefer the 360 tbh. I think it is alot to ask somebody to go and have a look for me but would be extremely grateful if it did happen.

Train ticket is £93 plus i would have to pay to tax the car.

It may be worth a call to the dealer after the pics go up

That's tosh man. My 300 is on a classic policy and it's one of three on the same policy, unlimited mileage. I suppose two of the three aren't the main car and one is. Either way, I've had classic policies before as a first and only car, sometimes with mileage limits, sometimes without - like now.

(Think it helps if the car is fairly standard and you're a member of a club)
