i know its been a while this is kinda what i ment about the roof rack fairing
also trimmed my roof racks down a little on each side i thing they fit a little better now also today got my car redgo and insurence

as an idea what do you think of the timber slates also will have a bike mount up there as well and a snow bord one as well on the other side, ideas and opinions welcome

yeah not gonna buy one ill make one itch means unless i do fiberglass it probably wont have a curve at the end

so thanks to this thread got all excited also. I'm driving my car out to matzuri witch is a Australian drift week end so it should be cool not drifting but going to watch etc but gotta make my car all pretty to represent the Volvo in the car park. so measured the timber up cut to size taking it all to my dads to use the drill press my brother and i bought him so i could use it

any way going there Saturday and then to a bolt shop. hopefully. so should be at least the timber part done by the end of the week end then for the other brackets.

Bringing this thread back from the dead because I found it useful thinking about a roof rack for my 340 and now it's on seems like a good place to post a couple of pictures. It's a Paddy Hopkirk 406U no fitting kit needed, £28 with free P&P on eBay. I wanted silver instead of black so repainted with Halfords metallic silver wheel paint and a couple of coats of satin lacquer. Plan is to use it for sheets and planks of wood when I've got some home projects on the go and random clutter when I go on road trips.
