hey mate always good to hear of a another 360:) yeah i am in camberwell, so not too far,
what kind of plan do you have? (daily driver, drifter, etc)
also i have found a good place for parts near by, in mitchem,
http://www.berrymotorgroup.com.au/
they have lots of bits and peaces also some times full cars its actually where i got my car from
and pricing is pretty ok, as long as you strip and find the parts your self. also they have some brand new parts.
let me know if you would like a hand with any thing,

Re: new car YAY!!!!
Is your horn a weak sound? It might well be a problem with your horn ring?

Re: new car YAY!!!!
Ok take your steering wheel off and get a multimeter on the 2 horn rings and see if you can get a circuit going through the steering wheel. If that's all good, check the horn ring is making contact with the sprung peices of copper located just above the steering collumn (you'll see these if you take your steering wheel off).

Re: new car YAY!!!!
OK so got a new permit took the car for inspection at a mates dads garage, so the list was pretty good so a big sigh of happiness when it was all easy stuff
the things picked up on where the rear left drum would not come off. witch was not to bad i fixed it i had to replace the same spring as last time the one that goes across the top to retract the shoes, as far as i can tell the auto adjuster had adjusted before i put the drum back on and then had become to tight and the spring was a second hand one that must have been damaged so snapped, hopefully all good now.
next was rear right indercater lense had a crack so got a new one
and pretty much no lights at the back where working that is a bit harder for me to fix
so at the moment i have all indercaters working and both rear driving lights and the number plate lights working and one brake light.
the head lights need aiming. and the revers lights dont work and i only have one driving light at the front and none of the lights look like an easy fix:( all globes seem fine and every thing is plugged in and fuses are all OK. so not shore whats going on there.
dose any one know where the senser is for the reverse lights?
wiper blades and clutch and brake pedal rubbers, needed replacing, so i got blades easy and fit them the pedals i just ordered from Volvo and they have to come from another state so will take a day or 2. and they only cost $6.10 AU each yay!! was a little worried about the cost and availability of those. the guy at volvo giggled about the price he said its not often he gets to quote that price to a Volvo owner!
any way all looking good as long as i can fix the lights. then back in for final inspection.

Re: new car YAY!!!!
for reverse lights really would it not be near the gear box?

Re: new car YAY!!!!
Sorry, my dazed and overworked state I read that as brake lights.
Switch is in the tunnel below the gear lever. Should be easy to get at.

Re: new car YAY!!!!
Rear lights will be earthing faults in the clusters. Search on here for solutions on how to clean them up and get them all working again. 90% likely not to be the switch in the gear lever, unless its so far out of adjustment or sloppy that the switch isn't being activated. Its easy to check anyways its just under the leather cover. Front lights will be either a dodgy relay, they're up under the steering column, or bad fuses or connections in the six multiplugs either side of the fuse box. The three that are easy to get to are obvious and there are three more in the exact opposite place the other side of the fuse box up under the dashboard.
Have you reset the auto adjusters properly now? Best way unless you've put brand new shoes in is to wind them all the way in, and then wind them back out part way, so they've got room to adjust themselves in, but not so far that you're pumping the brake pedal for 20 minutes trying to get the ratchets to move round.
Good work on the pedal rubbers still being available.
Sounds like you're well on your way to getting that RWC and back on the road.
BTW: If you use Berrys make sure you say hello to Smithy, he used to post on the forums here quite a bit. No idea whether he still works there or still runs Volvos or not.
