Aussie saying G'day

Post by Water Boy » 14 May 2011 12:16 pm

Hi gang,

Pretty happy I came across this great forum. Im James from Melbourne Australia.. 20 years young, sort of a student, part time bike shop bum and full time rev head.

Me:

Any thing thats go a motor get me randy. But slam, poke, stickers, resto, retro, offset, noise pipes is where its at.

Living in Oz owning a Volvo is looked down on but dang they can go get ..... Been a fan of the Volvo for many year's since my olman built a 242 GT to do Tarmac rally's with a reliable 500hp. And now days we have a V70R awd as the family wagon. Also daoubles as tow car for Dad's Mk1 racecar and MTB getaway wagon.

Dad's Mk1 16v:

ATM I have a '97 Mk3 CL as my daily, a '59 big window and '77 Mk1 4door as projects.

My daily WIP:

The reason why the 300 series has caught my attention is here in Victoria P-platers (first 4 years if licence) have power and car restrictions. No turbo's, V8's or high performance sixes. So after looking at e30's, s13's etc the Volvo 360 has become an option. Im yet to find out what models are here in oz but keen to learn. Thinking it will be a cool car to introduce myself to the RWD lifestyle and be different to all the Toyota's and Nissan's which seem to be way over priced and driven by all the youngbloke slike myself.

Anyways thats my story and hope to be part of this great little forum for the long hunt.

Cheers James

Aww snap. I live up near Toowoomba in QLD. Though I probs wouldn't be able to buy it. I wouldn't get a 360 again, need something more reliable with less maintenance :)
