F7P is a 1.8 and the Williams is an 2.0 F7R.

ok, scuse the noobness.. but apparently my car had the clio williams engine. So that makes it a 2.0? there wasn't a 1.8 version?

Nope. Although many will say the 1.8 is a Williams, it's not really. It's basically the same though, just smaller with a lot less torque.

^ Sceney knows his beaneys.

good rule of thumb: 1.8= good. 2.0= williams powaz. And he should know. Hes got one.

Looking at some of Sam's posts it says F7P not F7R - i.e. this thread http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... f=8&t=1190

Ah yes, if it was a 1.8 you'll now be arrested for false advertising. Please remain seated citizen, interceptors are on their way.

Theres an easy way to find out.

Is the engine coade F7P or F7R?

1.8s are by no means "bad" dude. So dont be down on it.

Theres not a great deal of actual williams engines around.
