Who was it with the damaged front panel?

There was a guy on here with a red mk2 where the front panel etc was stoved in on one side, if you read this mate and are still yet to sort it then perhaps the remains of my panel could help?

You can see it on the deck in this pic.

The only part I removed in one piece is the valance front section (as I was going to repair this part). I drilled out the spot welds, it will go back on but needs a little work. I also cut the bottom lip off as it was my intention to run the crossmember section open so it would not corrode again. No need now as I have a new front panel.

Really should update my WIP thread too.

I like that stand for turning the car over, it's given my ideas. Wonder how they fix the stand at the back? Box sections fitted to in the same place as the bumper bolts maybe.

Sure does mate, angle iron though.

I bought it from eBay, it's originally intended for a mk2 Escort, but I gave the guy some dimensions and he provided me with the bits to fit a 300 chassis. FJ and I welded it together, £130 delivered. Well worthwhile, so much better than lying on me back!

This guy mate http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLLOVER-JIG- ... 35b6a22203

Dunno if mine would clear a rear valance, mate. What size are the gaps in them? I will measure the angle iron.
