E-mail from American Airlines - WARNING - IT'S A SCAM

Post by Paula » 20 Jan 2012 03:17 pm

I thought that it was fishy - get it - Phishing !! - and the e-mail purporting to be from AA quoted an order number. The message on the e-mail says open the link and you have tickets and, of course, if you do - It's too late !!!

I didn't open the link - Phew :)

I then called AA Cargo ( I am waiting for a parcel to arrive) at Heathrow and it's been reported to the authorities here in the UK and the USA.

A year ago I was caught out by one of these fake e-mails and attracted a virus.... so I am very wary now.

So I had to have my PC sorted out online by AVG - Great service too.

See: http://consumerist.com/2012/01/american ... mails.html

and: http://www.aa.com/i18n/footer/securityStatement.jsp

No doubt the scammers got my e-mail address via AA as I fly with them from time to time.

These people are ba****ds.
Years ago, i got a letter from Holland saying i had won a 50 inch TV.
How ever they wanted £50 quid to ship it to Belfast. In the reply envelope
i put in a piece of paper saying F**k off Asshole.
I never herd from them again
Cheers Mark.
